Psychotherapy and Counselling

I provide a safe confidential space free of judgement for you to explore and speak freely about your thoughts and feelings. Together we can focus on your wants and needs and what you hope to achieve in therapy with me.

I am a qualified Psychotheraputic Counsellor in Transactional Analysis (TA) and hold a UKATA Diploma in TA Practice and I am a Registered Member of the BACP. I have completed 4 years of post-graduate Advanced Clinical Training in TA.

My approach is ‘relational’ whereby our relationship is an important part of the work we do together in understanding how you see yourself in the world and what you might like to change.

It is through our relationship that you may become aware of patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that are no longer helpful and create awareness of how these patterns may impact you and the way you relate in the present. I work on a short, medium or long-term basis with individuals and I have extensive experience both as a volunteer and in the private sector working with Adults with a wide range of presenting issues such as:

  • Bereavement and loss
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Anxiety
  • Anger & Stress
  • Depression
  • Bullying
  • Shame
  • Eating disorders
  • Abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship problems
  • Family and childhood issues
  • Low self-confidence

Taking that initial step to seek help and support can be scary. I offer a free minute telephone call so we can discuss together how I might help you. Sessions are £50 for 50 mins and are on the same day at the same time every week.
